Although he graduated in 1997 from Hanyang University, Korea with a Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering, Kim Jae Hyun began his career journey before that. In 1996, he was appointed Product Manager in CCR Ltd Korea, and developed numerous applications / software as lead programmer, including Microsoft Internet Explorer 3 Imitation (Microsoft Korea), NETSGO Browser, IPX-IP Game emulator ZLinker (SK Telecom), Magic Browser (Samsung Electronics) and X2Web (Co-Inventor of US Patent #6292185) with a remarkable >2 million users. With his now extensive experience and record of precision in his work, Kim Jae Hyun pursued his passion and became the Co-Founder and CTO of Softnyx Ltd, Korea in 2001.

It was in Softnyx where Gunbound (an online PC game) was developed. He was primarily responsible for developing the game server, database, network design and localised the game system globally for more than 10 countries and regions (Global, Latin-America, Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Brazil, Vietnam), while also managing the operating division. Gunbound reached +10M users globally a few years later.

After receiving a Silver Award for the Android App Festival 2010 hosted by SK Telecom and Samsung Electronics, he founded J2 Interactive Ltd. and started development of the renowned MX player which had more than 500M users/downloads several years later. Kim Jae Hyun furthered his career in Singapore and founded Cesil&Co PTE LTD, Singapore in 2019.
