Job Description

Sportskeeda seeks a passionate K-Pop and K-Drama writer to create engaging daily content. Responsibilities include writing 3-4 feature/news stories daily, staying updated on Korean entertainment trends, sourcing content from social media, maintaining strong English writing skills, and pitching creative ideas. The ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of the Korean entertainment industry, proven writing experience (minimum 6 months), and excellent time management skills. Weekend availability is required. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growing Hallyu content wave on a global platform.

Must have:

Write 3-4 daily stories
Deep K-ent industry knowledge
Excellent English writing
Social media content sourcing
6+ months writing experience

The Opportunity

Are you a K-Pop and K-Drama enthusiast with a passion for BTS, Blackpink, Tteokbokki, and all things Korean? Sportskeeda is seeking talented and dedicated writers to join our team and contribute to the growing wave of Hallyu content!

Key Responsibilities

Write 3-4 feature/ news stories daily.
Stay updated on K-Pop, K-Dramas, and Korean culture to produce timely and engaging content.
Source trending content from social media platforms like Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram.
Must have strong command over the English language, with minimal factual and grammatical errors in writing
Open to feedbacks from the editorial team
Actively pitch creative ideas to enhance K-Pop and K-Drama coverage.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of the Korean entertainment industry and its viral trends.
A strong command of the English language (IS) with expertise in grammar, sentence composition, and syntax.
Proven experience (minimum 6 months) in writing about K-Pop, K-Dramas, or Korean cultural trends.
Proficiency in acquiring trending content from platforms like YouTube, Reddit, Twitter, and Instagram.
Excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
Availability to work on weekends.
