Job Description

The KICK Marketing Specialist will develop and execute innovative marketing activations (IRL and URL) to boost brand awareness, consideration, and ultimately, ROI. Responsibilities include ideation, pre-campaign planning (budgeting, logistics, talent acquisition), campaign activation (briefing, people management), post-campaign activities (reporting, fulfillment), and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders. The role requires end-to-end ownership of activations, elevating the company's marketing capabilities. The successful candidate will also foster brand association and encourage user advocacy, contributing to the growth of Kick's community of viewers, creators, and developers.

The Marketing Specialist will create IRL and URL activations that drive brand awareness and consideration. They won't tell stories, they'll make stories, ones that leave a lasting impression in the hearts and minds of many.

Your role with us:
The Marketing Specialist will achieve brand association in a natural, unforced manner, recognising that the activation, however great, is pointless if it can't be attributed to Kick. They'll turn attention into advocacy, motivating people to share the activation in a way that delivers return on investment (ROI).

While conversion isn’t a primary responsibility, the Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with the Community, Partnerships, and CRM teams to drive further ROI. Be it a follow, lead, or app install, they’ll enable these teams to nurture prospective users into the next viewer, creator, or developer on Kick.

The Marketing Specialist will own these activations end-to-end and elevate the business' marketing capability.

What you will do:

  • Ideation of both IRL and URL activations as well as their integration in a wider marketing mix.
  • Ownership of the pre-campaign stage, which includes, but is not limited to, reconnaissance, risk analysis, budgeting, marketing assets, proofing, logistics, staffing, talent, legals, and set up.
  • Ownership of the campaign activation stage, which includes, but is not limited to, briefing, people management, and risk management.
  • Ownership of the post-campaign stage, which includes, but is not limited to, pack up, fulfillment, and reporting.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver flawless execution. 
  • Worldwide participation in these activations, with a willingness to represent the brand online, offline, at home, or on the road.

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of general marketing experience.
  • An Australian passport with no travel restrictions.
  • Demonstrated creativity.
  • Project management.
  • Networking prowess.
  • An understanding of streaming and its place in pop culture. 
  • Enthusiasm for live streaming, gaming, and digital entertainment.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Experience in live streaming, entertainment, or video-on-demand platforms.
  • Familiarity with web, mobile or TV app development.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Google Suite tools
