Job Description

Lead Software Developer (React Native) needed for a major North American TV provider. This role involves leading a team in developing and enhancing a mobile video streaming application. Responsibilities include feature implementation, design, development, testing, and documentation. The successful candidate will collaborate with product managers and architects, ensuring the application meets customer needs effectively. On-call support for production issues is also required. The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of experience in React Native development, including experience with iOS/Android and TV platforms. Proven team leadership experience is essential, along with experience in agile development.

Must have:

2+ years Team Leadership
Strong teamwork & collaboration
Proficient in React Native (5+ years)
Java/Kotlin or Obj-C/Swift experience
Streaming mobile app development (iOS/Android/TV)
Agile development experience
Good communication skills

Project description

Our Client is one of the largest TV providers in North America and we are searching for a Lead Software Developer (Team Lead) to lead our Delivery Team. The project focuses on developing a mobile application for a video streaming platform.

Responsibilities

You will be implementing new features and enhancing existing functionalities on client applications to support streaming video products. This includes estimation, design, development, testing, and documentation.

Lead the Software Engineering Team and collaborate with product managers, and architects in a cross-functional environment to ensure functions and performance meet customer requirements in a cost-effective and maintainable way.

Provide on-call support including monitoring, triaging and resolving production issues

Skills

Must have

At least 2 years of Team Leadership experience

Strong teamwork focus and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams

Proficient in React Native mobile app development (5+ years) as well as at least one of the following: Java/Kotlin or Obj-C/Swift

Streaming mobile app development experience with iOS/Android and TV Platforms

Experience with agile development

Good verbal/written communication skills

Nice to have

Experience with a CICD development environment
