You'll collaborate with a global team, correct language errors, and ensure adherence to client guidelines. You will write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation, and contribute to the overall success of the projects.
Must have:
  • Fluency in Danish and conversational English.
  • Strong cultural understanding of the Danish language.
  • Computer literacy, especially with Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly within project teams.
Good to have:
  • Experience in proofreading.
  • Robust Internet research skills.
  • Previous experience with software, applications, and websites.

About the role 

As Localization QA Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team and be the very first person to see the localized audiobook in its entirety – including both the translated text and audio interface. You’ll get to experience the project in the way it will be consumed by the end users. You will work in a multilingual project team ensuring that the audiobook is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies and ultimately ensuring that the audiobook is accurately localized into the target language. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with a global project team. 
  • Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors. 
  • Ensure adherence to client guidelines. 
  • Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions. 
  • Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery. 
  • Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters. 
  • Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation. 
  • Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects. 

Requirements 

  •  No experience required. Just fluency in Danish and conversational in English.
  • Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for. 
  • Experience in proofreading is not required but is considered a valuable asset.
  • Computer literacy – particularly with Excel. 
  • Robust Internet research skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail. 
  • Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams. 
  • Candidate must be located within Europe.

Working Condition: 

  • 100% remote within Europe. If you're based in Braga, Portugal, even better!
  • With the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role. However, if you prefer to remain a freelancer, that's perfectly fine!
