Job Description

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler plans the Maintenance Department resources to implement on-demand work orders and Preventative Maintenance tasks on the production floor. They support the site's strategy by ensuring production equipment is available to produce when needed to meet customer demand. Key responsibilities include scheduling maintenance and reliability tasks, managing spare parts, ensuring on-time completion of maintenance KPIs, and collaborating with managers. They also initiate processes to minimize costs and manage vendors. This role leads engineers and technicians, and involves adherence to EHS and Quality standards.
Must have:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
  • Computer skills using CMMS and MS Office
Good to have:
  • Associate's Degree
  • Familiarity with good manufacturing practice
  • SAP experience

About the role

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler plans the Maintenance Department resources to implement on demand work orders, and Preventative Maintenance tasks on the production floor.  Supports the site’s strategy by ensuring the production equipment is available to produce when needed & to deliver product per customer demand. This role leads engineers and technicians.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for scheduling Maintenance & Reliability tasks for Production equipment on site.

  • Responsible for review and assignment of spare parts needed for specific maintenance tasks.

  • Must be an SME of the site’s CMMS planning module.

  • Responsible for site Maintenance on time completion KPIs.

  • Work with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization.

  • Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, and equipment.

  • Recommend improvements and desirable modifications in methods, procedures, processes, equipment and layout.

  • Manage vendors and consultants to ensure that contracts contain appropriate technical specifications are delivered as required to meet specified preventative maintenance routines.

  • Interface with users, peers, and management to ensure appropriate input and integration of local and corporate standards.

  • Participate on cross-functional teams, who address specific problems, facilitate discussion and research, enabling procedures to become more efficient, and to build and enhance interdepartmental relationships.

EHS Responsibilities – All Associates

  • Know, understand and comply with all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines

  • Report unsafe conditions

  • Report all injuries, illnesses and hazardous materials releases

  • Wear personal protective equipment

  • Attend EHS training programs

  • Follow all safe work procedures

Quality Responsibilities – All Associates

  • Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards (Data Integrity, QA, and QC, etc.)

  • Adhere to QMS policy and regulatory requirements.
     

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 2 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Computer skills utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and MS Office products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree.

  • Familiarity with good manufacturing practice plant operation, safety and regulatory requirements.

  • SAP experience.

Location:  Lincoln, NE with in-office requirements.
