The Production Team is currently seeking a Manager, Creative Production who will support our production and design teams. This role will collaborate with production leadership to ensure smooth communication and strategic planning across all productions in development.

Responsibilities include the following:

Design Team Support

  • Attending all production & design meetings alongside or in lieu of Director, Producing & Development and subsequently creating comprehensive action items and ensuring their completion. 
  • Support management of design teams and other related design studios for assigned projects – including Pre-Broadway engagements, Broadway, West End, International & touring maintaining productions, plus any other projects as assigned. Responsibilities to include:
    • Detailing and tracking design projects and reporting progress to key stake holders
    • Scheduling calendar deadlines and promoting accountability
    • Document creation and distribution
    • Retrieving, organizing and maintaining updated design assets
  • Facilitate consistent and thorough communication between design & production team members, liaise between design / production and marketing/press/merchandise departments.
  • Partner with designers and GM/Production Supervision Team to manage timeline and deliverables for each department, such as drawing and model deadlines, bid submissions and follow up on creative notes to ensure completion.

Production Team Support

  • Support Director, Producing & Development and Production leadership team on titles slated for production, including the following responsibilities:
    • Planning out critical paths in project development 
    • Facilitating communication with GM/Production Supervision/Technical Production and Creative Team members
    • Attend various meetings with creative or production personnel to later communicate to Director, Producing & Development
    • Detail aspects of one or more production elements, creating documents that Director, Producing & Development will use to manage development
    • Manage special projects as assigned by Director, Producing & Development
    • Facilitate and manage the translation of scripts for first class international productions
    • Support execution of pre-production development steps – labs, reading, demos. 

Planning and Strategy

  • Collate production and technical meeting notes into action items
  • Maintain production development schedules and five-year production calendar along with key strategic documents for Production department
  • Assist in coverage of shows & tracking of prospective creative team members

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in theatrical production with an interest in theatrical producing and/or management.
  • Experience supporting high level talent and senior executives.
  • Knowledge of Disney Theatrical Group & creative team(s) processes.
  • Proficiency in presentation applications and Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse styles and shifting priorities with continued focus on the details.
  • Bachelor’s degree in theatre or a related field, a plus.

The hiring range for this position in New York City, NY is $79,700 to $103,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
