Summary

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at tonies® will be responsible for supporting the preparation of P&L and balance sheets, analyzing plan vs. actual deviations, and creating detailed reports on sales revenues and costs. Responsibilities include preparing periodic reports, supporting the budgeting process, developing controlling instruments, creating presentations for stakeholders, and automating manual processes. The ideal candidate will possess a Finance degree, 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or a related field, strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office and ideally SQL, and fluency in German and English. The role involves working in a structured yet dynamic environment, collaborating with colleagues, and taking ownership of financial insights and planning.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • You support the preparation of P&L and balance sheets, analyse plan vs. actual deviations and prepare detailed reports on the development of sales revenues and costs for our core DACH market.
  • You prepare periodic plan vs. actual and forecast reports, including variance analyses, comments and recommendations for action for sales, income statements, selected balance sheet items, liquidity development and investments
  • You provide support in the planning and budget process
  • You support the establishment and continuous development of existing and new controlling instruments as well as cost centre and contribution margin accounting
  • You will create presentations and other reports for company committees and other stakeholders that are suitable for recipients 
  • You work on the development and creation of KPI dashboards
  • You support other departments in the further development of financial reports in Microsoft NAV and in the modelling of new business cases
  • You independently drive the automation of manual processes and reporting and work with us to take the reporting of financial and non-financial KPIs to the next level
What we are looking for:
  • Degree in Finance or a comparable qualification
  • You have at least 3 - 5 years of professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Controlling, or similar Finance roles
  • Logical thinking and a strong affinity for numbers are among your key strengths
  • You are inquisitive and have a quick grasp of new concepts
  • You don’t just complete tasks; you strive to fully understand them. You place your findings in the overall context to ensure their plausibility
  • You are proficient in common MS Office programs and ideally have experience with SQL and working in data warehouses
  • Fluent in both German and English, with strong verbal and written skills
