ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position has the primary responsibility of coordinating required services to clients who are enrolled in the Match Grant program as well as ongoing adjustment, orientation, and social services. The Match Grant Coordinator will work closely with community organizations, churches, volunteers, good neighbor teams, property owners, and service providers to facilitate self-sufficiency among clients.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until September 30, 2025 and contingent upon funding extension.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform home visits and evaluations during Match Grant period
- Collaborate with Employment staff to provide on-going case management, including budgeting assistance, throughout clients time within the MG program.
- Provide mediation services between clients and outside entities (i.e., neighbors, landlords, volunteers, service providers, etc.), and additional adjustment counseling as needed throughout Match Grant period
- Maintain accurate records of client files, case notes, database entries, and reporting records
- Submit monthly, semi-annual, and annual program reports in collaboration with the Resettlement Manager
- Actively participate in department meetings, staff development opportunities, program trainings, community activities, and organizational events
- Develop plans to meet Match and account for gift-in-kind for each client in collaboration with the Volunteer Program Manager.
- Provide supervision and accountability for interns.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator to manage volunteer involvement with Match Grant enrollees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Cross-cultural experience required
- Strong Administration and multi-tasking skills required
- MS Office skills required
- Highly self-motivated with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license, regular access to vehicle, and ability/willingness to drive clients to appointments
- Occasional evenings or weekends required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Direct-service experience with vulnerable populations preferred
- BA/BS and background in social services or case management preferred
- Experience in volunteer or project coordination preferred
