The Medical Writer / Scientific Editorial Project Manager will be responsible for managing medical and scientific content creation in both English and French. The candidate will track project timelines and budgets, contributing to medical events and staying informed of developments in relevant therapeutic areas. This position offers an opportunity to work with healthcare professionals and colleagues to deliver high-quality, scientifically accurate, and engaging content. This is an 18-month contract.
Must have:
  • Degree in a scientific or medical field (postgraduate preferred)
  • Experience in medical writing and editorial project management
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Excellent writing, editing, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Collaborative and proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
Good to have:
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical communications industry
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards in medical publishing
  • ISMPP/CMPP membership or training

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Writer / Scientific Editorial Project Manager to join our team in Paris on an 18-month temporary contract. This hybrid role combines editorial project management with content creation in both French and English, contributing to a variety of medical communications programs, publications, and events.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about science communication and interested in working closely with clients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to deliver high-quality, scientifically accurate, and engaging content.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main editorial contact for assigned projects, liaising with clients, authors/KOLs, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage medical/scientific content in English and French, including manuscripts, presentations, and communication materials.
  • Ensure all content meets client expectations, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track project timelines and budgets; record time accurately for each project.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of medical events (conferences, advisory boards, training programs).
  • Stay informed of developments in relevant therapeutic areas and contribute ideas for new projects and content solutions.
  • Support business development through editorial input on proposals and planning.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree in a scientific or medical field (postgraduate level preferred)
  • Experience in medical writing and editorial project management
  • Fluent in English and French (spoken and written), at a scientific communication level
  • Excellent writing, editing, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Collaborative and proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical communications industry
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards in medical publishing
  • ISMPP/CMPP membership or training
