Team and Role Overview:
Nasdaq is looking for a Junior Software Developer - Templates to work in our office in Wroclaw, Poland.

The successful candidate will be expected to build reporting templates based on regulatory requirements using Nasdaq AxiomSL development environment to provide data transformations (SQL-based), validations, and output files using MS Excel and Excel-like applications.

The candidate is expected to have a technical or functional background. On this basis, they will undergo an initial training followed by on-the-job training to gain proficiency with the AxiomSL ControllerView data management and reporting platform.

What You Will Do:

  • Analysis of regulatory reporting requirements, development of report logic in AxiomSL proprietary software, development of report templates, electronic submission files, and validation rules
  • Unit-testing the report build and creating supporting technical documentation for delivery to the end-user to ensure that the project responds to the client's needs
  • Collaboration with product and project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance engineers
  • Work with MS Excel and Excel-like applications and applications for data transformation
  • Analysis of regulatory reports and relationships between individual reporting indicators
  • Analysis of the structure of reporting templates and incoming data required for reporting
  • Development of algorithms for converting the incoming data to obtain a structure suitable for presenting and submitting the report data

What We Expect From You?

  • Bachelor or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Mathematics, Computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Must be a fast learner, excellent teammate, and collaborator
  • Strong written and verbal English in business and technical contexts
  • Good understanding of database concepts - preferably Oracle or MS SQL Server
  • Basic understanding of the phases of SDLC and release management process
  • Experience in financial services, accounting, regulatory reporting, or FinTech is a huge advantage
  • Experience building client-facing products is a plus
