What is Morningstar?
Morningstar is one of the most respected investment research companies worldwide, compiling and analyzing data on funds, stocks, and the general market. With the acquisition of Sustainalytics, Morningstar is also the leading provider of financial ESG data. The company is US-based and has offices around the world, including in the Nordic region. Morningstar develops products and offers services that connect people with the investment information and tools they need, including the development of a range of independent research, ratings, and tools.
Responsibilities:
As part of the Morningstar office in Copenhagen you will be closely involved with the broader teams in Copenhagen, across the Nordics, and our teams internationally in EMEA and US.
This part time position will expose you to different functions within the local and regional organization. You will be involved in daily tasks across the functions such as product, ESG, service and support, finance, data, and business development. You are part of creating and maintaining structure and processes and operate as a link between the internal and external stakeholders.
Examples of tasks and areas you will be involved in (but not limited to), are;
Assisting Support/Data/Business Development teams with client cases and projects.
Supporting our editorial team creating and managing content on our websites and SoMe.
Day-to-day support of our Copenhagen team
Driving internal and external events in collaboration with our local and regional teams.
Maintaining and verifying our data quality.
Producing and owning market analyses for internal and external use.
Morningstar will provide job training, which introduces you to Morningstar’s fund and equity rating, data framework and ESG research. All derived from our global database on investment products that you will get insight on through this program. These efforts will help you to succeed in your role.
Experience:
Analytical and structured mindset with high motivation to learn, and an eye for details.
Advantage with proficient knowledge of MS Excel.
Experience or interest in financial markets will be a plus.
You will have the opportunity to take ownership to the tasks and projects with a mentor that will guide you through the process.
The hours per week will be agreed, but we foresee approximately 10 to 15 hours per week.
Morningstar will of course give you flexibility needed related to your studies and exams.
Qualifications:
In your Bachelor program, or higher, within an economic, finance, marketing, or technical degree.
You have a minimum of 2 years left of your studies.
You speak and write Danish and English fluently
Interest in financial markets and ESG.
Team player as well as being able to work structured on your own.
