Job Description

The EMEA Payroll Supervisor will lead and supervise the payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple clustered payrolls within the EMEA region, both in-house and vendor-managed. They will standardize processes across countries, manage relationships with payroll providers, ensure data accuracy through audits, and support internal/external audits. The role involves partnering with HR & Finance teams, serving as an escalation point, and leading payroll-related projects. This position requires providing accurate and timely support for the EMEA payroll process, working within an international team overseeing payroll operations for various countries. The primary function of the role is to make sure EMEA payroll process work accurately and timely.
Must have:
  • Proven experience in payroll management
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Experience in payroll for EMEA markets
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Very good command of English
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and international assignees employee payroll
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and within respect of deadlines
  • Focus on continuous Improvement in payroll and HR administration processes
  • Advanced Excel literacy
Good to have:
  • Multi-stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to resolve escalated payroll issues independently
  • Knowledge of Workday/CloudPay/SDW payroll system would be beneficial
  • Experience on payroll vendor changes projects
  • Customer service- and team-oriented approach and good organizational skills

EMEA Payroll Supervisor

In this role you will…

  • Lead and supervise the payroll team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Oversee payroll operations for multiple clustered payrolls within the EMEA region, both in-house and vendor-managed.
  • As part of Regional Leadership Team work towards standardizing processes across countries.
  • Accountable for the management monitoring to ensure that payroll processes are compliant to company’s payroll minimum standards.
  • Manage relationships with payroll providers, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure data accuracy by conducting regular audits and reporting results to Regional Lead. Run monthly reconciliation process and review reconciliation differences, analyze root causes and implement improvement actions.
  • Support internal/external audits pertaining to pay related activities. Ensures country compliance/ regulation adherence on payroll.
  • Partner with HR & Finance teams.
  • Serve as the escalation point for payroll-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Lead and participate in payroll-related projects, such as system upgrades, provider changes, process automation, and compliance initiatives.

The main purpose of the role is to provide accurate and timely support for EMEA payroll process. You will be a part of an international team within EMEA region, reporting to EMEA Regional Lead overseeing payroll operations for countries such as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Kenya, Portugal, Slovakia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Pakistan and Poland).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in payroll management
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; 
  • Experience in payroll for EMEA markets; 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Very good command of English (any European language would be an asset); 
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, understanding of international assignees employee payroll, shares processing and payroll accounting basics
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within respect of deadlines 
  • Focus on continuous Improvement in payroll and HR administration processes 
  • Advanced Excel literacy
