The Principal, HEOR -- Modelling role involves leading the development of health economic models and managing a range of health economics projects, including cost-effectiveness and budget impact models. Must have:
  • Higher degree in health economics or related field

  • Strong understanding of the global payer environment

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced economic modeller to join our highly talented modelling team.

The successful candidate will be experienced in developing health economic models and qualified to MSc level or above in health economics, operational research, mathematics and/or econometrics. Applicants should have a minimum 7-10 years of experience in leading the development of economic models for health technology assessment (HTA). A solid knowledge of HTA methods and processes is also required. 

We are open to hiring this position based out of any one of our office hubs (London & Newcastle, UK -- Krakow, Poland -- Paris, France -- Remote or Dublin, Ireland) 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The main responsibility of the role is to lead the development of health economic models and a range of health economics projects. Typical modelling projects include the development of global cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, early economic models, model adaptations and methodological studies. Additional responsibilities will include line-management and/or mentorship of economic modellers and contribution to business development. 

  • Oversight and strategic leadership of economic modelling projects 
  • Business development responsibilities  
  • Mentorship and or/line management of economic modellers 
  • Overseeing the internal and external day-to-day management of projects including project budgets  
  • Study design, development and implementation across a variety of therapeutic areas 
  • Drafting abstracts and manuscripts as lead or co-author 
  • Leading and contributing to modelling and multi-team proposals  
  • Lead internal team trainings  

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Higher degree (PhD or MSc) in health economics, economic modelling or related discipline
  • Substantial knowledge of decision analytic modelling, including a range of modelling approaches
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in related work
  • Extensive experience of economic modelling in a consultancy environment: conceptualization, design and implementation
  • Experienced in successful project management
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Strong understanding of the global payer environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues to a wide range of audiences
  • Proactive in identifying and assessing developments in modelling methodology, and implementing change as required
  • Excellent quantitative skills, including econometrics
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical software packages (e.g. STATA, R)
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel skills.
