Job Description

As a Process and System Specialist, you will serve as a SUPER USER for the WMS system, providing 1st-line and ad-hoc support, preparing and testing integration projects, and developing process instructions and training. You will also lead local projects for continuous improvement, managing warehouse workflow changes, optimizing picking and storage strategies, and introducing new technologies. The role requires a relevant university degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in warehouse operations, WMS, Lean Management, Six Sigma, Excel, and EDI systems, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Fluent German and English are essential, and approximately 60% travel is expected.
Must have:
  • Point of contact for 1st-line and ad-hoc WMS support.
  • Prepare and test integration projects with customers (data exchange).
  • Provide process instructions, training, and best practices for operations.
  • Support creating WMS reports, master data maintenance, and management analysis.
  • Lead continuous improvement and process enhancement projects.
  • Manage warehouse workflow changes for volume, picking, and storage strategies.
  • Liaise between warehouse issues/needs and system requirements/capabilities.
  • Introduce new technologies to boost warehouse performance and quality.
  • University degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in warehouse operations and WMS systems.
  • Experience with Lean Management and Six Sigma tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel user.
  • Experience with EDI systems.
  • Fluent German and English.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
  • Solution-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret customer specs, use WMS, and explain WMS.
  • Good knowledge of logistics innovation trends.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 60%.

Job Details

Your main tasks as Process and System Specialist are:

Activity as SUPER USER of the WMS system (50%)

  • You are the contact person for 1st-line and general ad-hoc support for the WMS.
  • For new customer implementations, you are responsible for the preparation and testing of integration projects together with our customers (data exchange).
  • You provide suitable process instructions for the users of the operations team, training, and sharing of best practices.
  • You are responsible for supporting the creation of new reports based on our WMS, master data maintenance, and conducting specific analyses for management.

Leading local projects for business support and continuous improvement (50%)

  • You lead continuous improvement and process improvement projects.
  • You are responsible for changes in warehouse workflows to accommodate increasing volume, picking, and storage strategies based on current trends.
  • You are the link between warehouse problems/needs and system requirements and possibilities.
  • You are responsible for introducing new technologies to increase warehouse performance and quality.

What you should bring:

  • You have a university degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • You have experience in warehouse operations and with WMS systems.
  • You have experience with Lean Management and Six Sigma tools.
  • You are an advanced user of Microsoft Excel (PowerBI is an advantage) and have experience with EDI systems.
  • You have fluent German and English language skills.
  • You are motivated to work in a team and have the ability to communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders.
  • You can think solution-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills for developing innovative and sustainable solutions.
  • You possess a strong ability to interpret customer specifications into operational processes, utilize WMS functionality to solve operational problems, and explain WMS functionality to others.
  • You have good knowledge of current innovation trends in the logistics industry.
  • Approximately 60% willingness to travel will be required for this role.
