About the team and the role:
You would be joining eBay’s Buyer Recommendations team, focusing on eBay’s vision to become the best global marketplace: We connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all. We’re looking for a Product Manager for the Recommendations Platform team, focussed on UX, leading initiatives crafting the future of immersive UI in our marketplace. You’ll orchestrate the development of innovative functionality and tools, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver not only direct improvements to our user experience but also to build a platform that allows teams across eBay to do the same. This is a full time role based in Portland Oregon.
What you will accomplish:
Talk to product teams across eBay to identify and synthesize high impact UX platform features and build a cohesive vision and strategy around it.
Work with engineering teams to deeply understand the current state of our UX design systems, identify areas of improvements, and define requirements to move these forward
Partner with engineering to build internal tooling that drives adoption of the UX platform across eBay with velocity and quality
Develop a deep understanding of eBay shoppers and empower us to build new immersive UX that surfaces products, videos, images, seller store, sponsored content etc to eBay shoppers
Leverage metrics to define strategies to iterate and improve the user experience.
Stay informed about industry trends and new technologies in user interface design to advise product decisions.
Communicate product updates, achievements, and priorities effectively to team members across the organization.
What you will bring:
4+ years as a product manager in a technical area focused on UX
Previous experience working on mobile and desktop applications, developer experiences, tools, design systems, workflow.
Demonstrated experience in writing clear product specifications
Outstanding communication skills - verbal, written and presentation abilities.
