Job Description

The Professional Services Consultant role involves providing consulting services to organizations, focusing on operational, analytical, business, management, technology, and project management aspects within a specialized industry. The consultant will use industry knowledge to assist organizations in bridging knowledge gaps on business transformation projects, defining client needs, and developing project plans. Responsibilities include client identification, solution development using company products, IT solutions, and proprietary tools, and delivering IT solutions through consulting project activities. The consultant will be evaluated based on billable hours and engage in project management activities, including cost/schedule monitoring and interaction with company and client managers. The role also involves potential financial responsibilities like project cost estimating and invoicing, and participation in sales presentations.

Must have:

Utilizes industry knowledge to assist organizations with transformation.
Defines client needs and develops project plans.
Develops detailed IT solutions.
Intermediate professional with experience in related projects.
Demonstrates developing functional knowledge and independent judgement.
Requires a Master's degree, or Bachelor's with 2 years experience, or high school with 4 years experience.

What You Will Get To Do:

Provides external, client-facing operational, analytical, business, management, technology, and/or project management consulting services to organizations within an industry of specialization.
Utilizes industry knowledge and experience to help organizations bridge the knowledge gap on business transformational projects.
Primarily responsible for the identification/development of solutions for clients using company products, outsourced IT solutions and/or proprietary tools/techniques that others implement.
Defines client needs and develops a plan and proposal for delivery of the project.
Responsibilities include client identification through final invoicing for engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills.
May develop and deliver detailed IT solutions through consulting project activities.
Technical responsibilities may include system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment.
Performance is typically evaluated based on utilization (i.e., billable hours).
Project management activities include interaction with company and client managers and cost/schedule monitoring.
May have some financial responsibilities including project cost estimating, proposal generation, and invoicing.
May participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities.

What You Will Bring:

Intermediate professional working on projects of a moderate scope or on varied tasks that require resourcefulness, self-initiative, and significant independent judgement.
Demonstrates a developing functional knowledge to evaluate the implications of issues and make recommendations for solutions.
Guides less experienced team members.
May recommend new procedures.
Minimally requires a Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or high school degree and 4 years of related experience.
