Job Description

The Senior Partner Success Manager will drive the growth and success of Coupa's GTM & Delivery partner ecosystem in Japan. The role involves leading the selection, enablement, and growth of implementation partners, developing and implementing partner-specific business plans, building and maintaining executive relationships, educating partners on Coupa’s delivery methodology, creating partner scorecards, and acting as a liaison between partners and internal teams. The manager will also collaborate with partner account managers and practice leads to plan resource capacity, facilitate regular communication, and ensure partner readiness. The goal is to bring value to customers and further Coupa’s Partner First philosophy.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of experience in software implementation/presales.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent Japanese and Business level English.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of ERP, CRM, or other P2P solutions.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus

The Impact of a Senior Partner Success Manager at Coupa:


We are seeking an experienced Senior Partner Success Manager to fuel the growth and success of our GTM & Delivery partner ecosystem in Japan. In this strategic role, you will be pivotal in ensuring that our Go-To-Market and Delivery partners are equipped to position, co-sell, and implement Coupa solutions successfully. By driving the success of our partners, you’ll help bring tremendous value to our customers while furthering Coupa’s Partner First philosophy.


As part of the wider Alliances team, you will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, Legal, and partner counterparts. Together, we will continue to define and revolutionize the Business Spend Management space.



What You'll Do:
  • Lead the selection, enablement, and growth of implementation partners in collaboration with Coupa Field Alliances
  • Develop and implement partner-specific business plans focused on training, delivery capabilities, and pipeline development aligned with regional and vertical strategies
  • Build and maintain executive relationships with partners to accelerate their ability to position, sell, and deliver Coupa solutions
  • Educate partners on Coupa’s delivery methodology to ensure alignment with expert services and staffing practices
  • Create partner scorecards, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement and performance management
  • Act as the primary liaison between partners and internal Coupa teams (Professional Services, Sales, Marketing, Product & Technology, and Finance)
  • Collaborate with partner account managers and practice leads to plan resource capacity and drive pipeline growth
  • Facilitate regular communication with partners to address project issues, enablement requirements, and documentation needs
  • Ensure partner readiness to transact with Coupa, including managing master service agreements (MSAs), hour submission processes, and invoicing
  • Promote cross-border collaboration among global partners to foster resource sharing and delivery consistency
  • Align regional partner enablement strategies with sales and services objectives
  • Regularly review and optimize the partner ecosystem to ensure strategic alignment and high-quality delivery


What You Will Bring to Coupa:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software implementation, presales, or partner development in procurement technology
  • Strong communication, time management, and relationship management skills
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities with a collaborative, results-driven mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of ERP, CRM, or other P2P solutions is a plus
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
  • Fluent Japanese and Business level English
