The Program Manager II at Xbox Services & Operations (XSO) will coordinate across regions (India and US) to ensure smooth collaboration between developers, architects, and studios. This role involves managing client and service delivery for family-oriented products, focusing on product execution and delivery in alignment with the Family Gaming roadmap. Responsibilities include sprint planning, risk management, data-driven decision-making, stakeholder communication, and contributing to product strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience with family-oriented products, parental controls, and agile methodologies, and a proven ability to manage multi-region collaborations.
Must have:
  • 3+ years' experience in product/program management

As part of GPSO, the Xbox Services & Operations (XSO) team mission is to build and maintain services enabling increased customer engagement plus player growth across the Microsoft Gaming eco-system. A significant part of this responsibility involves adopting and/or creating Cloud Solutions. We leverage Azure Cloud platform capabilities; along with investing in the engineering of complementary Observability and Manageability solutions to run our Gaming business. We use this approach to apply consistent and scalable solutions across existing Xbox services, aiding in broad adoption across our Gaming business partners and consulting with acquisitions to assure their migrations to Azure Cloud are executed successfully with high degrees of Operational Excellence. The end objective being assurance that all systems within our Microsoft Gaming portfolio are operating on modern cloud capabilities thus eliminating the burdens and risks associated with dedicated infrastructure and/or legacy solutions. This role requires developing strong working relationships across business partners in Gaming, aiding in creating unified cloud adoption plans and ultimately assisting with consultation or engineering execution of the migrations.

 

This Program Manager will coordinate across regions and time zones, ensuring smooth collaboration between developers, architects, and studios in India and the US. They will drive client and service delivery for family-oriented products and sprint processes, in alignment with the Family Gaming roadmap from Redmond. This role will focus on product execution and delivery, ensuring our products meet market expectations and reflect Microsoft’s core values of integrity, accountability, and inclusion.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years’ experience in product or program management, with exposure to software development and client releases.
  • Proven experience managing client launches across web, mobile, and/or PC platforms.
  • Strong ability to develop a deep understanding of internal and external customer needs and translate them into exceptional product experiences.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and proven ability to foster cross-functional collaboration, leveraging the contributions of others.
  • Proven ability to listen actively and execute decisively, maintaining alignment with strategic direction while navigating competing priorities.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working on family-oriented products, parental controls, or child safety-related services in the gaming or software industry.
  • Experience managing multi-region collaboration across time zones, ensuring seamless coordination and product execution.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern product management tools to manage backlogs, roadmaps, and sprint processes effectively.
  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and make data-driven decisions, driving outcomes while remaining adaptable to shifting business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner across several geographically diverse gaming teams to co-develop the roadmap for age-related, family, ask-a-parent, and child safety client experiences.
  • Run sprint planning and execution across both client and service teams, ensuring on-time delivery, clear ownership of deliverables, and proactive risk management through detailed reporting.
  • Contribute to product and business strategy by providing data-driven insights from core product metrics, customer feedback, and adoption trends, ensuring alignment with market needs.
  • Establish and maintain transparent communication channels, keeping stakeholders informed on feature progress, milestones, and challenges while maintaining clarity in ownership across regional teams.
