As a Project Manager at SailPoint, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, including preparing project plans, coordinating with teams and customers, tracking progress, and managing risks. You will handle project management duties for Advisory Services engagements, manage stakeholders, create project documentation, and provide updates on project progress to customers and management. You will also be expected to understand SailPoint's delivery methodology and lead project management duties for small-medium projects, including hosting kickoffs, weekly meetings, and managing budgets, timelines, milestones, and risks. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage projects across multiple teams and geographies.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software/SaaS or consulting.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Experience managing projects across multiple teams and geographies.
Good to have:
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or PMP is a plus.

You have worked indirectly and directly with project teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to successfully complete deliverables and coordinate project meetings. You are an excellent communicator, with experience in planning for and achieving challenging deadlines, assessing and mitigating project risks, and proactively resolving unexpected issues. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

Project Managers (PMs) at SailPoint begin with a structured onboarding and mentorship program to familiarize them with our SaaS and/or Software delivery models. Within 1-2 months, the PM will begin leading Setup and Advisory Services projects by preparing project plans, coordinating with internal teams and customers regularly, tracking progress and deliverables, maintaining project status, forecasting, and documenting risks and issues. After 6 months, the PM will have demonstrated a strong understanding of our delivery methodology and led most major PM duties for small-medium projects, such as hosting kickoffs, and weekly meetings and managing budgets, timelines, milestones, and risks. Within 1 year, the PM will be expected to handle all project management duties for Setup and Advisory Services projects. 
 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Handle project management duties for Advisory Services engagements. 

  • Manage project stakeholders and customer expectations, ensuring customer concerns, risks, and requirements are anticipated, documented, and resolved proactively. 

  • Create and consistently update project documentation (project plans, weekly status and budget reports, and risks and issues logs) in appropriate repositories 

  • Assist engagement managers with maintaining project scope and address any change order needs promptly, as applicable. 

  • Provide accurate updates on project progress to customers and SailPoint management. 

 

 

Requirements: 

 

  • 5+ years of professional work experience as part of a Software, SaaS, or consulting company, including 3+ year of project manager experience. 

  • Excellent organization and communication skills. Experience working with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. 

  • Experience with essential project management duties (project planning, managing budgets, monitoring project scope, owning stakeholder communication, and risk management) 

  • Experience managing projects across multiple teams and geographies to ensure projects are delivered to specification, on-time, and within budget. 

 

Certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or PMP a plus 

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 

 

Travel: Up to 15%
