The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is an entry-level position responsible for prospecting and generating leads for the sales team. Key responsibilities include outbound lead generation via cold calling, emailing, and social media; responding to inbound inquiries and qualifying leads; researching potential leads and identifying key decision-makers; engaging with potential customers to understand their needs and determine if they fit the ideal customer profile; using discovery techniques to identify pain points; qualifying leads based on company criteria and scheduling meetings/demos for the sales team; maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified leads using a CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce); tracking all interactions and updating lead information; working closely with sales and marketing teams; providing feedback on lead quality and objections; and meeting/exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly targets for outreach activities, qualified leads, and scheduled meetings.
