Job Description

The Senior Compensation and Development Consultant will play a crucial role in leading and delivering consulting projects in comprehensive compensation, while developing assigned markets (focus 2025: mining and banking). They will assist clients, offering recommendations based on their needs or referring them to other specialists if necessary. The consultant must be willing to expand their knowledge and exposure to future projects or commercial approaches with clients related to our Transformation and/or Talent Services. Responsibilities include developing compensation strategies and policies, preparing and presenting project results, and staying updated with market best practices.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics, or Human Resources.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Compensation, HR, or HR consulting.
  • Experience in comprehensive compensation projects.
  • Commercial and sales skills.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management skills.

Consultor Senior de Compensación y Desarrollo de Industria

El consultor senior, debe desempeñar un papel crucial en la dirección y entrega de proyectos de consultoría en compensación integral, a la vez que desarrolla los mercados que se le encargan (foco 2025: minería y banca). Acompaña a nuestros clientes para ofrecer recomendaciones de acuerdo con sus necesidades y/o derivarlos con otro especialista si fuera necesario. También debe tener disposición para ampliar su conocimiento y extender su exposición a futuros proyectos o abordaje comercial a clientes relacionados con nuestros Servicios de Transformación y/o talento.

Contamos contigo para:

  • Desarrollar Estrategias y Políticas de Compensaciones, ayudando a nuestros clientes a diseñar estrategias de compensación innovadoras a través de la co-facilitación de talleres y sesiones de diseño. Workshop para el establecimiento de filosofía de compensaciones. Esto incluye posibles reuniones con CEOs y CHROS para comprender los desafíos de su organización.

  • Preparar y presentar resultados de proyectos y/o  co-presentar los resultados del proyecto a la dirección de recursos humanos y proporcionar recomendaciones respaldadas por los resultados del proyecto y conocimiento de la organización.

  • Desarrollar la industria: definir los clientes en los dos mercados focos a desarrollar, identificar los interlocutores y desarrollar una propuesta integral que nos permita desarrollar la industria no solo de cara a las soluciones de compensaciones sino de los servicios de Mercer en general. Se espera que esta posición, pueda desarrollar con el acompañamiento del líder, un plan táctico para el desarrollo de la/las industrias asignadas y llevarlos a cabo en los tiempos comprometidos.

  • Mantenerse actualizados con las mejores prácticas tanto del mercado en temas de su especialidad, como en prácticas de gestión de talento y mantenerse al tanto de las noticias de la industria de la que es responsable, para crear recomendaciones y soluciones sólidas y para un mejor abordaje de mercado.

Que necesitas tener:

  • Título en Gestión, Economía, Recursos Humanos o equivalente. 

  • 3 a 5 años de experiencia en Compensación, HR y/o consultoría de HR con enfoque en temas de compensación y beneficios.

  • Experiencia en proyectos de compensación integral en una empresa o en consultoría.

  • Habilidades comerciales y de ventas.

  • Excelente dominio del inglés como segunda lengua. 

  • Competencia avanzada en programas de MS Office: particularmente en Excel y Power Point, con la capacidad de manipular y presentar datos de manera precisa y eficiente. Necesario conocimiento de Power BI

  • Fuertes habilidades interpersonales para relacionarse a lo interno y externo a cualquier nivel organizacional. 

  • Gestión efectiva del tiempo: capacidad para gestionar múltiples prioridades cambiantes, cumplir con plazos y entregar consistentemente trabajo de alta calidad.
