The Data Operations team's mission is to define, modernize, centralize, and steward all foundational elements of data management and enable delivery of value-driven analytics-ready data at scale across all lines of business and ensure that our operations are efficient and effective.
As a Senior Data Engineer on the Data Operations team, you are responsible for managing data governance and workflow automation processes. You will be part of a team responsible for developing and delivering our GCP platform. You will support end-to-end workflows while actively collaborating with different internal stakeholders to assess data needs.
The role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and to work on a wide variety of technologies, including programming, databases, cloud infrastructures, and visualization tools. You will develop deep domain expertise and generate key insights that influence business decisions and technological solutions.
Responsibilities
· Drive and advance existing end-to-end workflow processes
· Take ownership of proper data governance and conduct data quality checks in collaboration with teams
· Prepare documentation for workflow automation and new pipeline development
· Drive the audit process automation to ensure accuracy and efficiency
· Utilize ETL tools to extract data from data sources, filter, and transform the data for use in reporting and analysis
· Develop, deliver and maintain the BigQuery data lake
· On-board new data sources to the data lake
· Collaborate with the project management team for key data operation projects
