The Senior Media Planner will report to the Media Strategy Director and will be responsible for providing digital media recommendations to clients, preparing and implementing media plans, and delivering other deliverables. Responsibilities include translating client briefs into cross-channel digital media plans, maintaining relationships with paid media client partners, collaborating with specialists to generate ideas and experiment with new methods, utilizing planning tools, generating campaign reports, ensuring planning follows best practices, collaborating on campaign performance reporting, and maintaining relationships with publishers. This role requires experience in leading, collaborating, and problem-solving within the digital media landscape.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of experience in multichannel media campaigns.
  • Experience with interactive research tools.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with measurement attribution and reporting dashboards.
  • Experience with advanced or large-scale media campaigns.
  • Knowledge and passion for Digital Media.

Job Description

The Senior Media Planner reports to the Media Strategy Director and provides digital media recommendations to clients both internal and external, and prepares and implements media plans and other deliverables.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the translation of client briefs into cross-channel digital media plans (programmatic, search, social, video) that deliver effective and accountable outcomes for our clients including budget and flighting recommendations, audience targeting recommendations, performance forecasts and channel tactics
  • In partnership with your client leads maintain a working relationship with paid media client partners
  • Lead the collaboration with Jellyfish specialists from market intelligence, investment analytics and paid media teams to generate unique ideas and experiment with new methods and technologies to solve complex issues.
  • Utilise attribution, media mix modelling and planning tools (GWI, YouGov, Reach Planner, ComScore) to pull audience consumption, reports and forecast target goals
  • Work with wider planning and analytics team to generate insightful campaign reports with optimisation recommendations while media is live
  • Work with teams (Paid Search, Display, Analytics, etc.) to ensure planning is following platform and buying best practices
  • Collaborate with channel and measurement lead on campaign performance reporting to deliver results through testing and ongoing optimisation
  • Maintain relationships with the publisher and partner community
  • Monitor the digital landscape and identify trends/partners for upcoming campaigns

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working on multichannel media campaigns within an agency or client environment, either in a media buying or planning role.
  • Experience with interactive research tools (i.e. ComScore, Pathmatics, et al)
  • Experience with Google Workspace, PowerPoint, Word, and advanced knowledge of Excel (can perform complex functions)
  • Experience with measurement attribution, MMM and reporting dashboard solutions.
  • Demonstrate experience having worked on advanced or large-scale media campaigns within an agency or client environment
  • Knowledge and passion for all things Digital Media and keep up to date on the evolving digital landscape, and how digital fits into the marketing plan
  • Experience working in close collaboration with team members to achieve common goals,

valuing and respecting diverse contributions

  • You'll love getting to know your clients, developing long-lasting relationships and adding value to their business.
  • You're good at adapting strategies and plans to navigate unforeseen circumstances.
