The Solutions Consultant supports clients and Account Executives during the sales cycle, offering pre-sales technical, functional, and strategic assistance to potential clients. Responsibilities include translating features into value, providing expertise on the SurveyMonkey platform, APIs, and SDKs, responding to RFPs/RFIs, and acting as a customer advocate. Additionally, the role involves training, knowledge of the competitive landscape, and supporting sales efforts. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence twice a week for collaboration and decision-making.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Sales Consultant or equivalent in SaaS.
  • Experience with APIs and a technical background is needed.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally, and in writing in English.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and some Javascript knowledge is preferred.

What we’re looking for

The Solutions Consulting Team supports clients and Account Executives throughout the sales cycle and reports to the manager of Sales Engineering. As a Sales Solutions Consultant, you will provide pre-sales technical, functional, and strategic support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. In addition to supporting the sales team in pre-sales conversations, you will collaborate across the organization, including with product, marketing, legal, and security.

What you’ll be working on

  • Support our prospective clients and Account Executives throughout the sales cycle by translating features into value drivers for their business.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise in the pre-sales phase, including knowledge of SurveyMonkey’s platform, APIs, Mobile SDKs, and additional solutions.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs and custom Security Reviews.
  • Be a customer advocate internally while working with other teams including Product, support, engineering, and sales.
  • Provide training to improve product knowledge and demo abilities.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the competitive landscape and become an expert in the CX space.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 3+ years experience as a Sales Consultant, Sales Engineer, or equivalent role with a focus on SaaS.
  • A curious and inquisitive mind with an interest in exploring and self-teaching new programs and integrations.
  • Comfortable presenting to a variety of customers (even on executive level). 
  • A technical background with experience working with APIs.
  • Experience delivering SaaS demonstrations and writing technical business documentation like workflow diagrams, proposals, RFPs, and RFIs.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field.  
  • Ability to communicate written and orally in English at the B2+ level. 
  • HTML, CSS, and some Javascript knowledge is preferred.

As such, this opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Heredia 2 days per week.
