Job Description

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will contribute to the architectural design of applications, work with technical leads and developers to implement cross-platform REST API WS applications using a microservices architecture, and handle full-stack components (Java, Oracle). You will communicate directly with customers in an Agile setting, troubleshoot performance issues, and occasionally design/review data models. The role involves working on the digital transformation of a banking platform for SME clients in Germany and requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Occasional business travel to New York may be required.

Must have:

8+ years full-stack development (Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, Spring, REST APIs)

Project description

You'll be joining the Bank, which is focusing on the special needs of the small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, a designated area for further growth and investment within Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of ~800.000 clients in 3 brands, i.e. the establishment of the BizBanking platform including development of digital sales and service processes as well as the automation of processes for this client segment.

Our tribe is on a journey of an extensive digitalization of business processes and to migrate our applications to the cloud. On that we are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup and collaborating closely with stakeholders and engineers from other areas thriving to achieve a highly automated and adoptable process and application landscape.

Responsibilities

As a team member to be able to make architectural input on the current and possible application solutions

Work closely with technical leads, analysts and developers to design and implement of cross-platform REST API WSs application (As per Microservices architecture) within a structured development process;

Work with full stack components (Java, Oracle) once there's a need

Direct communication with customers in Agile mode

Troubleshoot performance, concurrency and functional problems.

Business travel onsite (New York), rarely as per need

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Occasional Design and review of data model (optional)

Skills

Must have

TypeScript and Node.js in addition to some experience with Kubernetes and/or Terraform required

More than 8 years of experience in fullstack development of robust and reusable code, especially experience with Java, JavaScript, Angular JS, Spring framework, APIs (RESTful services), databases.

Profound knowledge of architectural concepts (e.g. microservice architecture paradigms) as well as good knowledge and experience with Cloud environment.

Experience in working in virtual and global teams in an agile setup.
