Job Description

  • Leadership et gestion d'équipe : Diriger et encadrer l'équipe d'éclairage, en favorisant un environnement collaboratif et créatif.
  • Fournir à l'équipe un retour d'information clair et constructif de la part du directeur artistique technique et du directeur artistique.
  • Faire preuve d'une grande intelligence émotionnelle pour gérer et soutenir efficacement les membres de l'équipe.
  • Expertise technique : Posséder une solide compréhension d'Unreal Engine 5, avec une connaissance approfondie des fonctionnalités de Lumen et Nanite.
  • Capacité à s'adapter à des pipelines personnalisés et à concevoir des solutions adaptées à des exigences techniques spécifiques.
  • Comprendre les interdépendances entre l'environnement, les effets visuels et l'éclairage afin d'identifier et d'atténuer les problèmes de performance potentiels.
  • Tests de performance et optimisation : Effectuer des tests de performance pour l'éclairage, y compris l'interprétation des graphiques PIX, RenderDoc, et UE GPU profiler.
  • Déterminer les prochaines étapes pour optimiser les performances de l'éclairage sans compromettre la qualité visuelle.
  • Excellence artistique : Maîtrise de l'éclairage d'une boîte grise et prise de décisions techniques et artistiques en accord avec la direction artistique.
  • Compréhension claire des techniques et des directives PBR, avec la capacité de s'adapter aux règles PBR personnalisées et de comprendre les écarts par rapport aux pipelines PBR traditionnels.
  • Développement de jeux AAA : Expérience de travail dans un studio de jeux AAA, avec une bonne compréhension des pratiques de contrôle des sources (expérience Perforce de préférence).

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor the lighting team, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback from the Tech Art Director and Art Director to the team.
  • Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence skills to manage and support team members effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a solid understanding of Unreal Engine 5, with in-depth knowledge of Lumen and Nanite functionalities.
  • Ability to adapt to custom pipelines and devise solutions tailored to specific technical requirements.
  • Comprehend the interdependencies between Environment, VFX, and Lighting to identify and mitigate potential performance issues.
  • Performance Testing and Optimization: Conduct performance testing for lighting, including interpreting PIX charts, RenderDoc, and UE GPU profiler.
  • Determine actionable next steps to optimize lighting performance without compromising visual quality.
  • Artistic Excellence: Proficiency in lighting a grey box and making technical and artistic decisions that align with Art Direction.
  • Clear understanding of PBR techniques and guidelines, with the ability to adapt to custom PBR rules, understanding deviations from traditional PBR pipelines.
  • AAA Game Development: Experience working in a AAA game studio, with a clear understanding of proper source control practices (Perforce experience preferred).

Qualifications
