Role Description
initializ is looking to hire a Senior React.js (Next.js) Engineer to join our highly talented Labs team. As a React.js (Next.js) Engineer at initializ, you’ll be embedded in the Labs Engineering team, where you can work on next-generation Web Development. You’ll get to work directly with other Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Directors, all of whom comprise the team. In this highly collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to grow as a software engineer.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior technical stakeholders to design and implement robust backend and frontend solutions using React.js and Next.js.
- Advocate for code quality and rapid delivery of business value while creating exceptional software and user experiences.
- Drive architecture and implementation decisions, getting hands-on with code to bring features to life, squash bugs, and manage technical debt.
- Mentor and guide other engineers to develop and grow within the team.
- Expand your expertise by learning and solving problems beyond your core skillset, particularly those that AI coding tools may not immediately solve.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub workflows to automate and streamline the release process.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to guide stakeholders through architecture decisions and showcase the team's technical work's value.
Technical Experience Required
- 7+ years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- 5+ years of experience with React.js and Node.js
- 3+ years of experience with Next.js
- Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first CSS frameworks.
- Proven experience with AWS/Azure/GCP for cloud infrastructure management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with low-code stacks (e.g., Webflow, Wized, Xano) is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of Linux server administration and bash scripting.

Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in a similar role within a fast-paced tech company.
