About the job

Want to work in a culture built on mutual trust and respect? How about having the freedom to make work fit into your life (and not the other way round)? A career with Thinkproject could be just the opportunity you're looking for.

What do we do?

Thinkproject is a European market-leader in digitalisation tools for construction companies. It sounds complex, but we'll explain further! Construction companies used to use manual administration and physical paperwork for projects (sometimes hundreds of thousands of bits of paperwork for one project!). Using our construction intelligence solutions, businesses can go digital, which benefits everyone from the construction companies to the wider public.

Our mission is to deliver digitalisation to make a safer, healthier and more sustainable AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Operations) industry. This is a really exciting time to join our company, since our founding in 2000 we have gone from strength-to-strength and have lots of exciting developments coming up soon that you could be a part of.

What your day will look like

As a Technical Communicator you will play a crucial role in transforming complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content that supports user success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and support, to develop, maintain, and improve product documentation, ensuring consistency and ease of use across all platforms. Your expertise in setting up and managing content management systems, particularly MadCap, will help us streamline and centralize our documentation process for optimal usability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop High-Quality Documentation for User Success: Write engaging content that meets the needs of diverse target audiences, helping users understand and succeed with our products.
  • Simplify Complex Concepts: Gain a deep understanding of our products and services and transform technical information into polished, user-friendly content.
  • Evaluate and Improve Content: Continuously assess existing documentation and propose innovative methods for improvement to enhance user experience.
  • Centralize Content Repositories: Collaborate with development and support teams to identify documentation repositories, edit and revise content, and implement best practices for data compilation and centralized storage.
  • Enhance Usability in Partnership with Product Management: Collaborate with product management teams to ensure content supports the highest standards of usability and user-friendliness.
  • System Administrator for MadCap: Manage the MadCap documentation system, collaborating with subject-matter experts (SMEs) and content authors, ensuring seamless up-to-date delivery across multiple target outputs.

What you need to fulfill the role

  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments.
  • Strong knowledge of structured authoring in MadCap or similar single-source systems is a plus.
