The Senior Studio Manager will lead and scale in-house photo studio operations, setting up efficient workflows and standardizing processes to deliver high-quality imagery across multiple categories, with an emphasis on apparel, accessories, home, and CPG. The role involves overseeing daily studio operations, implementing PDP and creative guidelines, and developing and maintaining a budget. This role will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to adjust space utilization and meet production needs. The candidate will also need to define and track measurable goals for all operational roles.

Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Studio Manager to lead and scale our in-house photo studio operations. This role will be responsible for setting up efficient workflows, standardizing processes, and ensuring our studio consistently delivers high-quality imagery across multiple categories (with an emphasis on apparel, accessories, home, and CPG). You will oversee daily studio operations, implement PDP and creative guidelines, and develop and maintain a budget to operate within.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and optimize the in-house studio operation, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all creative outputs, optimizing studio layout to maximize efficiency.
  • Develop and implement standardized studio processes, PDP guidelines, and best practices to support brand consistency and scalability.
  • Oversee budgets for studio operations, optimizing resources and ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Oversee studio infrastructure needs, including lighting, storage, and workspace configurations, to align with production demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to adjust space utilization based on seasonal campaign needs and evolving creative requirements, and working closely with creative, marketing, and merchandising teams to meet production needs.
  • Define and track measurable goals for all operational roles, including digital techs, photographers, and product coordinators, with clear metrics tied to output, quality, and efficiency.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of experience in studio operations and creative production, ideally within a retail, fashion, or home brand.
  • Extensive knowledge of studio workflows, including photography, styling, retouching, and asset management.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing standardized studio processes and PDP imagery guidelines.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, resource planning, and vendor negotiations to maximize efficiency.
  • Experience managing multiple categories (apparel, home, lifestyle) in a high-volume production environment.
  • Proficiency in studio and asset management tools (e.g., Capture One, Adobe Suite, Airtable).
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing studio teams while fostering collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • A detail-oriented operator who can balance strategy with hands-on execution.
