Job Description

The Senior Technical Solutions Consultant at gTech's Extended Workforce Solutions team will design and implement technology solutions to streamline Extended Workforce operations. This role involves gathering business needs, mapping them to efficient and cost-effective technology, and collaborating with development teams for implementation. Responsibilities include designing integrated roadmaps, identifying system gaps, launching tools across organizations, conducting business/technology reviews, and testing solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, and coding (Java, C++, Python, etc.), along with a strong understanding of data analysis and system design. The goal is to improve efficiency, user experience, and compliance within Google's Extended Workforce processes.

Must have:

5+ years experience in technical project management
Technical troubleshooting & coding experience
Stakeholder management and solution development
System design and implementation expertise
Contribute to testing of products/solutions

Good to have:

Master's degree in related field
8+ years experience in system design, coding, operations management
Experience with data analysis and customer-side web technologies
Experience implementing large-scale initiatives

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution development or technical consulting, and 1 year of experience in technical leadership.
1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
8 years of experience in system design.
8 years of experience coding in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
8 years of experience in operations management (i.e., process improvement, operational reviews, optimizing workflows, etc.) or in a customer-customer facing role.
8 years of experience with data analysis, customer-side web technologies, and project management.
Experience implementing strategic and large-scale initiatives/projects in a change-oriented, fast-paced environment.

gTech’s Extended Workforce Solutions team enables Product Areas to scale their operations while managing risk. The goal is to enable businesses to make informed decisions to put talent in the right locations. Partnership with teams across Google focuses on providing a positive user experience and minimizes administrative burden throughout the Extended Workforce process. The team assists with Extended Workforce planning and strategy, and provides tools to support product areas in managing their Extended Workforce infrastructure.

The Extended Workforce Solutions Technology team's focus is to deliver technology strategy and direction that drives efficiency through automation, improved user experiences, and compliance through technical controls. In this role, you will gather and understand the business needs and map them to technology and systems that can help deliver those needs both efficiently and cost effectively. You will then drive implementation of these strategies in partnership with other development teams.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design of an integrated roadmap, translating the business strategy into a technical delivery plan by understanding the strategic business needs and defining solutions for those needs. Determine gaps in existing systems, architecture, and solutions, and build plans to solve them.
Work with technical development teams to launch tools across various organizations.
Participate in regular business and technology reviews between Extended Workforce Solutions and technology teams to ensure alignment on strategy, plans and execution of key milestones.
Contribute to testing of products/solutions for customers/partners before release through different phases (e.g., internal testing, user acceptance testing).
Contribute efforts to transform infrastructure including surfacing requirements, setting timelines, leading sprints and pilots, and managing change with local partners.
