Job Description
Maverick Games seeks a Senior Virtual Camera Operator to craft groundbreaking cinematic sequences for an exciting new AAA IP. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Director of Photography and other stakeholders, defining cinematic sequences and flows, composing shots that convey narrative and emotion, and working closely with editors. The ideal candidate possesses a background in traditional film/video camera operation and a keen eye for detail. They should be innovative, creative, and able to translate real-world camera knowledge into game development. The role involves pushing boundaries in game cinematics and raising the quality bar in design, art, and animation for AAA game development.
Must have:
- Experience in traditional film/video camera operation
- Ability to craft visually stunning and emotionally engaging compositions
- Collaboration with Directors and Editors
- Knowledge of cinematic principles
- AAA game development experience

Key Responsibilities

- Work alongside the Director of Photography and other stakeholders to deliver and craft groundbreaking cinematic sequences through aesthetically pleasing camera motion and compositions.
- Use your background in traditional film / video camera operation to help push the boundaries with Cinematics in Game Development.
- Collaborate with a world-class multi-discipline team.
- Help define the cinematic sequences, in game cutscenes and flows for an exciting new AAA IP.
- Be part of an exciting new adventure that will really inspire the creative and their players.
Be Creative.
- Use your keen eye for detail for crafting visually stunning and emotionally engaging compositions.
- Become a champion for the game cinematic vision and concept.
- Translate real world-camera knowledge and techniques.
- Compose shots for sequences that effectively convey narrative, emotion, and gameplay information, leveraging established cinematic principles.
- Collaborate closely with Editors to ensure seamless integration of virtual camera work into the final cinematic sequences, providing them with optimal shot choices and camera data.

- Create and drive the core backbone and pillars of our experience.
- You will create compelling and pleasing Cinematic Sequences that raise the quality bar in Design, Art and Animation for AAA Game Development.
