Microsoft Teams seeks a Software Engineer II-DevOps to enhance the efficiency and scalability of its mobile release process. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining engineering infrastructure, tools, and services for CI/CD across mobile clients. Responsibilities include building tools/bots leveraging AI to improve developer productivity, championing best practices, and collaborating with stakeholders to define product vision and address technical challenges. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of experience in automation engineering and CI/CD, with experience in coding languages like C#, Java, Python, and familiarity with Android/iOS build systems and Azure DevOps.
Must have:

  • Basic AI/LLM understanding
  • Coding skills in C#, Java, Python etc.
Good to have:

We are looking for a Sofware Engineer II to join our Mobile Engineering Systems team. This role is integral to enhancing the efficiency and scalability of our Mobile release process. Our infrastructure allows feature teams to deliver new features to millions of users in an automated fashion. By automating repetitive tasks, you will play a key role in improving operational efficiency, reducing response times, and enabling the feature team developers to be more efficient.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in automation engineering, process automation, or related fields. 
  • Experience of shipping features and with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes. 
  • Experience developing and maintaining engineering infrastructure tools/bots. 
  • Basic understanding of AI/LLM. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Android & iOS build systems. 
  • Experience in Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent problem-solving & debugging skills. 
  • 4+ years of coding experience in an object-oriented programming language, with knowledge of Python, Java, Swift, Kotlin.

  • Champion best practices, tools, and processes for a data-driven, quality-focused release of Microsoft Teams as frequently as possible to our customers.
