The Central Europe Azure Solution Area Specialist is a senior leadership role within Microsoft's enterprise sales organization. This position leads, develops, and orchestrates a team to drive solution opportunity revenue and market share. The role is crucial to Microsoft's Azure sales strategy, coordinating cloud efforts across infrastructure, data, applications, and security. The ideal candidate possesses both cloud technical and business acumen, leading digital transformations for customers. Responsibilities include liaising with CEMA Solution leads and country specialists for holistic Azure business management in Central Europe. Key duties involve pipeline and sales management, customer engagement at the CxO level, partner engagement, and coaching sales teams.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Extensive experience in technology sales management OR Azure solution sales
  • Lead sellers to achieve revenue targets
  • Engage with CxO level for opportunity discovery
  • Drive strong partnerships with sales teams
Good to have:

Overview

The Central Europe Azure Solution Area Specialists is a senior leader within our enterprise sales organization and leads, develops and orchestrates across the Central Europe team of sales and technical specialist  to drive solution opportunity revenue and market share.   

 

This role is a key leader in our overall Azure sales strategy, responsible for coordinating holistic cloud efforts across infrastructure, data, applications, and security and our cloud committments with MACC.  Preferred candidates will carry both cloud technical and business acumen to lead digital transformation efforts with customers that own both technical and decision making, including executive board rooms.  This leader role includes the  liason and close working with the CEMA Solution leads and to the leads and specialists in country to drive an holistic management of the Azure Business for Central Europe.

Qualifications

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND extensive experience in technology-related sales Management
    • OR extensive experience in solution sales for Azure solutions or similar business public cloud migrations selling software-as-a-service or cloud-based business applications to enterprise customers successfully displacing competitors

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in leading and negotiating large-scale cloud deals, coordinating with diverse, virtual teams composed of industry, solution, technical, licensing, and legal team members.
  • Strong ability to develop relationships and understand customer needs.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, or other public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), including IaaS and PaaS technologies and how they translate into business impact. Versed in cloud migration and modernization
  • Familiarity with enterprise software solutions and the cloud and datacenter infrastructure landscape, including AWS and GCP.

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline and Sales Management: Lead sellers to build and maintain strong, accurate pipeline and drive the Azure business to overachieve revenue, consumption, and scorecard targets
  • Drives strong partnership with sales teams and other teams engaging in the customer (e.g., partners, services, Customer Success, engineering support, etc.) to identify new business opportunities   
  • Coaches Seller’s with a “challenger mentality” by prompting Seller’s to engage early and lead with new insights on how to grow the customers’ business.
  • Customer centricity: Lead from the front, personally engaging at CxO level to support and coach teams on opportunity discovery and acceleration Engages with technical and business leaders on both business and technical outcomes to drive customer value.
  • Partner Engagement: Bring together Microsoft solutions with Partner solutions, fully leverage the synergy effect with Partner solutions, fully leverage the synergy effect with our partners, and co-sell with them to make deals bigger and faster.
