Job Description
As a Senior Systems Engineer at Company 3, you'll implement core creative service applications and tools to modernize workflows for artists and clients, both in-studio and remotely. You will ensure implementations adhere to security standards and develop best practices for supporting complex technical processes. Responsibilities include optimizing Avid system architectures, collaborating with engineering teams in NY and LA, supporting creative applications, and developing work-from-home solutions. You'll provide onsite and remote support for Avid Editorial clients and help define and implement next-generation infrastructure. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, resolving issues quickly, and collaborating to handle operational and production technical needs.

*Pay Range: $93,000 - $150,000 USD annually
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Senior Systems Engineer at Company 3 you will be working as part of a team, implementing core creative service applications and tools to modernize the way our artists and clients work both in facility and remote. Implementation of in-studio and remote workflows that adhere to our security standards will be critical. You will be developing and disseminating best practices for supporting complex technical process to maintain and improve operational efficiency. You will work closely with Engineering leadership to design and implement highly functional Offline Editorial workflows as well as coordinate optimization across all Post Production disciplines (DI, Dailies, VFX, Deliverables) supported at Company 3. Help lead Tier 1 and Tier 2 support efforts for studio clients.
MAIN DUTIES:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide onsite and remote support for Avid Editorial clients in the New York and other Company3 locations. You will work with Engineering teams in NY and LA to optimize Avid system architectures, adhering to company standards and securities requirements, and work in a fast pace creative environment with the ability to work independently and quickly resolve issues. The ideal candidate will have prior computer science/engineering working experience, as well as experience with Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS (ACSR preferred, not mandatory). They must be familiar with networking concepts and implementation for remote and in-studio production workflows and have post production/studio or IT experience. Additional desired skills include:

- Bring Work from Home hardware and software solutions to all of Company 3 and its clients.
- Ability to work around production schedules and to travel as required
WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will have prior computer science/engineering working experience, as well as experience with Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS (ACSR preferred, not mandatory). They must be familiar with networking concepts and implementation for remote and in-studio production workflows and have post production/studio or IT experience. Additional desired skills include:
- Strong written and verbal communication with clients and vendors
- Detail orientated with drive to accomplish assignments
- Analytical problem solving
- Creative applications experience is a plus.
- Familiar with Storage performance and Archival concepts is a plus
- Familiar with Active Directory and VMware administration is a plus
- Familiar with cloud architecture or administration is a plus
