Job Description

As a Strategic Partner Manager for Android (English, Spanish) in Mexico City, you'll drive Android ecosystem growth by building and maintaining relationships with carrier, retailer, and OEM partners. You'll leverage expertise in consumer dynamics, marketing, and business to design and implement impactful initiatives. Responsibilities include developing cross-product strategic partner initiatives, building go-to-market strategies, negotiating complex agreements, serving as a relationship manager for existing agreements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies. The role requires building consensus with internal and external executives and optimizing value from partnerships. You will be responsible for helping to realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
Must have:
  • 7+ years experience in relevant fields
  • Experience building strategy plans & engaging with Telcos, Retailers, OEMs
  • Experience negotiating agreements with channels
  • C-level executive engagement & cross-functional collaboration
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
Good to have:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in managing partnerships autonomously
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and structure agreements
  • Excellent communication skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience in building strategy plans and engaging with Telecommunications (Telcos), Retailers or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) through presentations.
  • Experience negotiating agreements with channels (Carriers, Retailers, or E-Tailers), working with with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management and managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Experience in managing partnerships.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Our Android Partnerships team is responsible for driving next-generation technology enablement for the Android ecosystem through strategic partnerships with telecoms, retailers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Our goal is to bring the best of Google to help our partners succeed and sustainably grow our users, products, and ecosystems.

As a Strategic Partner Manager within our Mexico team, you will be a key driver of Android ecosystem growth. You will build and cultivate strong relationships with our carrier, retailer, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners, leveraging your expertise in consumer dynamics, marketing, and business to design and implement impactful initiatives. You will advocate cross-functional collaboration in developing Go-To-Market strategies and ensure seamless execution across Business Development, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, and Finance, fostering collaborative growth.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage strategic partnerships with entities of all sizes.
  • Develop cross-product area strategic partner initiatives and build go-to-market strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
  • Ideate and drive complex agreements with potential partners and renewals/expansions for existing partners and build consensus with internal and external executives.
  • Serve as the Relationship Manager for our current existing agreements. Help, realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
  • Engage with several internal cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences across markets and functional areas.
