Job Description

The Technical Advisor will lead technical discussions and presentations, supporting retention and growth of accounts. They will also advise sales teams and clients and serve as a subject matter expert. The role requires presenting to various groups, providing technical guidance, and contributing to revenue growth. The advisor will also attend industry conferences. The ideal candidate has knowledge of power markets and renewables and must have good communication and presentation skills. This role is client-facing, requiring strong communication and presentation skills and requires being driven by results, having high goal orientation, and working with urgency.

We are currently seeking a highly driven Technical Advisor with knowledge or experience in power markets and congestion to join our customer success team in Calgary or remote. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector.
 
Performance Objectives
 
  • Lead technical discussions and presentations during client facing meetings which focus on the client/prospect’s needs while leveraging your industry knowledge to effectively engage at all levels of an organization. 
  • Support retention and growth of post-sales commercial and business development accounts. 
  • Advise Enverus Sales Teams and clients on which offerings will have the most impact on their business. 
  • Present effectively in a variety of settings from one-on-one with the C-suite to small and large groups across business segments (Developers, Utilities, Engineering companies). 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Enverus’ various solution sets. 
  • Round out your expertise by developing domain expertise in other disciplines. 
  • Aid teams including Business Development and Marketing with technical guidance on messaging and content for conferences, webinars, etc. 
  • Attain individual and corporate goals focused on the growth of annual recurring revenue. 
  • Support the Sales Organization growth targets by proactively reaching out to Account Directors and Account Executives to identify whitespace within existing accounts and new business. 
  • Attend industry conferences and internal conferences/trainings – Travel 10% 
 
Competitive Candidate Profile
 
  • Experience or knowledge of Power & Renewables space.
  • Experience or knowledge of Renewable Development
  • Highly computer literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Product Suite, PowerBI, etc. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills 
  • Self-motivated, task-oriented personality with a strong work ethic and desire to learn 
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple functional and geographical groups concurrently across multiple time zones 
  • Excellent organizational skills, high level of attention to detail, and ability to multi-task 
  • Relishes working on teams and embraces constructive feedback as part of the learning process 
 
This role is client facing. So communication and presentation skills are paramount.
The intangibles include being driven by results, high goal orientation, and working with urgency. In other words, you MUST have a strong motor!
