The Technical Infrastructure ML, Systems, and Cloud AI Product Management Organization is a team of Technical Program Managers guiding development of hardware and software infrastructure solutions for Google data centers. As a Technical Program Manager on this team, you will work closely with the Data Center Automation Services team who focuses on delivery of automation and robotics systems for Google data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development of an automation strategy for Google data centers, and distill this to short and long-term product development roadmaps.
  • Facilitate collaboration among Platform Infrastructure Engineering, Automation Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Software Engineering teams, as well as stakeholder teams supporting data center design, construction, and robotics sustaining.
  • Own the automation development through the Technical Infrastructure Product Life Cycle process, including conducting feasibility assessments, developing project plans, cost and schedule estimates, determining financial return of investment, and presenting business cases to executives.
  • Work with roboticists, controls engineers, and hardware lab staff to lead the concept, planning, and development of Data Center Automation System programs with an end-to-end responsibility.
  • Develop technical standards, program plans, risk mitigation, and portfolio reporting to ensure predictable delivery.
