Job Description

This is a hands-on Test Automation Engineer role within the Risk domain of an IT team supporting a 24/7 platform in Sydney. The role involves collaborating with end-users, vendors, analysts, and developers to create and expand the test framework, test plans (monthly/quarterly releases), and test cases. Responsibilities include automating regression test cases, progression testing, Jira management, and ensuring quality/acceptance criteria are met. The platform constantly evolves to serve various business stakeholders, making this a dynamic and critical role for the Australian and Global economy. The team focuses on engineering governance, continuous delivery, and cloud/payments-based architecture simplification.

Must have:

5+ years Automation Testing (Python, Playwright)
Banking & Capital Markets domain experience
GoldenSource/Market EDM/Access Control knowledge
Python/SQL/Playwright expertise
UI and Database testing experience
Capital Markets-Reference Data & Market Data experience
Agile PM, stakeholder engagement
Ensuring quality/acceptance criteria

Good to have:

Investment banking technology experience
Data Quality Management experience
Capital Markets data experience
Regulatory project experience (e.g., FRTB)

Project description

The project is in Risk Domain which is supported by the IT team. The platform operates 24/7 supporting teams in Sydney. The platform undergoes constant change as it provides services to a number of business stakeholders.

Our team is composed of engineers and technology leaders, who bring in the right mix of skills to enable this transformation. We also work very closely with our business and operations colleagues to support these services which are critical to the Australian and Global economy.

Our team is also responsible also to drive Engineering Governance, Continuous Delivery, and key technological simplification pillars such as Cloud and payments-based architecture

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on Automation tester role required to work GS UI and to work with end users, platforms vendors, business analysts, and developers to create and extend the test framework, test plans for Monthly/Quarterly releases, and the various test cases and scenarios needed to achieve acceptance in the various test phases up to release. Automate Regression Test Cases, Progression Testing, Jira Management

Skills

Must have

5 years of experience in Automation Testing (Python and Playwright) in the Banking & Capital Markets Domain, like in GoldenSource/Market EDM/Asses Control

Good knowledge of Python/SQL/ Playwright and experience with UI and Database testing

Experience working in Capital Markets-Reference Data & Market Data, Agile PM, stakeholder engagement

Ensuring quality/acceptance criteria are clearly agreed with appropriate teams and that test coverage is able to deliver this. System

Ideally have experience with functional and regression testing for enterprise data management systems. Communication and soft skills

Ability to clearly communicate at all levels and across multiple domains.

Nice to have

Investment banking technology experience, Data Quality Management experience in capital markets. Capital Markets data experience in reference, static market etc Regulatory project experience eg. FRTB.
