The Role
We are hiring for several teams: This is an exciting time to join Netflix. Some of these roles are remote, and others are based out of Los Gatos, CA.
The Change Automation team is primarily responsible for the developer platform that powers updates, migrations and software changes for the entire engineering organization. Some example goals for projects include:
Reduce friction, cognitive load, toil, and time required to adopt technologies across Netflix engineering.
Simplify and minimize manual interventions for service owners during migrations.
Make it easier to adopt new technologies through automated code change, validation and deployment.
The Deliver Engineering Team is responsible for providing a continuous delivery platform. This team is responsible for software orchestration and delivery tools that all Netflix engineers use to safely, predictably, and effectively deploy software. Some example goals for projects include
Unify imperative delivery configurations (Spinnaker pipelines) with declarative delivery config and management (Managed Delivery) into one cohesive product, so that end users can rely on supported infrastructure management while benefiting from the flexibility of deployment configurations.
Reduce friction, cognitive load, toil, and time required to configure software Delivery for all application and service owners.
Reduce complexity and improve efficiency in the configuration and ongoing management of software deployments.
The Exploration and Troubleshooting Team is part of the Observability Engineering Group. It provides a platform and suite of products that enable Netflix engineers to monitor service behavior in real-time, detect system health anomalies, and troubleshoot issues. As part of the team, you will:
Work across a suite of observability products including dashboards, logs explorer, metrics explorer, and tracing.
Define and execute future strategy for the dashboard product, a self-service platform enabling users to visualize data from various sources.
Contribute to a platform that processes billions of data points in real time every minute
Provide mentorship to early career engineers on the team, fostering their growth and development.

Love brainstorming with fellow Backend and UI engineers, product designers, product managers, and directly with our users to understand what they want, figure out what they really need, and finally, what we should build
Can deliver top-tier solutions with minimal guidance. You also recognize when you're wrong, learn from your mistakes, share them with others and grow from them
Are selfless and willing to flex across the stack or into a new domain to help a teammate when needed, never thinking “that’s someone else’s job”
Strive to embrace best practices and are always searching for opportunities to continually improve.

Are adept at building client-side applications using React and TypeScript and have strong experience in designing and implementing GraphQL schemas
Have a strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and a passion for creating intuitive user interfaces
Have a product mindset that is deeply empathetic to customer needs, strategic in orientation, and metrics and outcomes-driven
