Job Description

This role is for a Workflow Engineer to work on a platform supporting client onboarding in a global financial institution. The platform processes onboarding requests through various stages (Client to Sales to Operations). Responsibilities include transforming business requirements into task-based workflows using a self-service configuration tool; defining the approach and implementing workflows to meet business needs; close communication with global onboarding teams; and collecting and formalizing requirements for business process automation. The platform uses a BPM engine, rules engine, reporting engine, and metadata configuration components, accessible via web applications. This is a mission-critical role within a client experience upgrade roadmap.

Must have:

Degree in Math/Computer Science
Analytical mindset & strong analytical skills
Experience with rules engines, workflow tools, BPM systems
Investment banking/client onboarding knowledge
Scripting skills (Groovy, Java)
Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Good to have:

BPMN/UML specification
System analyst or application support experience
Business analysis knowledge in IT
Experience in process management

Project description

We build the platform, which supports client onboarding in global financial institution. This platform includes processing of onboarding requests as they flow from Clients to Sales to Operations and to downstream processing functions. Application functionality is decomposed into business process management, business rules/workflows configuration, reporting / dashboards and workload management functions e.g. work prioritization, SLA management, notifications etc.
Technically solution includes BPM engine, rules engine, reporting engine, metadata configuration components; most of these components are exposed via end-user facing interacting web applications. The platform is used by both external and internal users, it is mission critical as part client experience upgrade roadmap.

Responsibilities

The Config Engineer is responsible for transformation of business requirements into task-based workflows self-service configuration tool. Specifically, you will be responsible for definition of the approach and workflows' implementation in order to address specific business needs. You will be in close communication with global Client onboarding teams during collection and formalization of the requirements for business processes automation.

Skills

Must have

Degree in mathematics or computer science;

Analytical mindset and strong analytical skills;

Experience with rules engines, workflow tools and a business process management system is preferable;

Expertise in investment banking business, client onboarding domain

Тechnical background:

Scripting skills ( knowledge of any programming language incl. Groovy, Java)

Flexible

keen to learn new technologies and to extend business domain;

Perfect verbal and written communication skills in English;

Nice to have

BPMN / UML specification (ability to modeling and visualize business processes);

Experience in system analyst or application support analyst (engineer) role is highly desirable;

Practical, or at least strong theoretical knowledge in Business Analysis in IT area;

Proven experience in process management
