By providing robust tools, comprehensive support, and a structured framework, we aim to cultivate a vibrant modding community that extends the longevity of our games and contributes meaningfully to the broader gaming industry.

Job Description

The Workshop Curator is responsible for managing and overseeing the curation of community-created content within the modding workshop.

This role ensures that mods align with platform guidelines (Sony PlayStation and Xbox XRs, for example), adhere to IP rights, and comply with internal and external rules and standards.

The Modding Workshop Curator plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and quality of mods shared on the platform, fostering a creative yet structured environment for modders.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and Process Mods: Thoroughly review all community-submitted mods, ensuring they comply with platform-specific guidelines (Sony PlayStation and Xbox XRs), company policies, and legal frameworks.

Community Guidelines: Enforce modding community guidelines, ensuring that content adheres to respectful and constructive community standards.

Feedback and Support: Provide constructive feedback to modders when a submission does not meet standards, offering guidance on how to bring their mods into compliance with rules and technical standards.

Intellectual Property Compliance: Ensure that all mods respect intellectual property (IP) laws, including third-party rights, trademarks, and copyrighted materials.

Copyright Violation Mitigation: Collaborate with the legal department to investigate and resolve potential IP or copyright violations, ensuring that mods respect legal boundaries and avoid unauthorized use of protected content.

IP Management: Liaise with modding teams to handle any disputes or concerns arising from IP issues, ensuring that modders understand and respect IP boundaries in their work.

Platform-Specific Guidelines: Ensure that all community-created content adheres to the unique guidelines and standards required by PlayStation and Xbox XRs, including content moderation, performance requirements, and usage limitations.

Collaboration with Platform Teams: Work with PlayStation and Xbox XRs-related teams to stay updated on evolving platform policies, integrating these guidelines into the curation process for mods.

Company Policies: Enforce the company’s internal policies related to user-generated content (UGC), ensuring that mods align with the company’s vision, ethical standards, and technical guidelines.

External Regulations: Stay informed on external regulations that impact modding, such as content classification laws and online safety regulations, ensuring compliance in all user-generated content.

Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams such as legal, marketing, quality assurance, and community management to ensure a seamless process for approving and promoting mods.

Community Relations: Work closely with the Community Manager to maintain transparency with the modding community, communicating the reasoning behind mod approvals or rejections, and assisting modders in meeting platform and legal requirements.

Content Moderation: Act as the primary moderator for the modding workshop, removing any mods that breach community guidelines or legal requirements.

Issue Resolution: Quickly address and resolve conflicts within the community related to mods, such as disputes over content ownership or IP.

Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to modding guidelines and processes, based on trends in user-generated content, legal developments, and community feedback.

About The Company

Our story began with our first game, Arma: Cold War Assault, released back in 2001. Developed by just a handful of people, this PC-exclusive title became a massive success. It sold well over a million copies, received numerous industry awards, and was praised by critics and players alike. Since then, we've grown from a ragtag bunch of garage devs to an international family of over 400 professionals – working on major games like Arma 3, DayZ, Ylands, Vigor, and various other projects. Our ambition: to make games that act as platforms for people to explore, create, and connect.
