Bohemia Interactive seeks a Technical Designer UI/UX – Game Master & Editor to design, refine, and implement user interfaces and workflows for Arma 4's enhanced Game Master mode and Editor. This role involves creating intuitive tools for players to manage dynamic battlefield experiences in real-time. Responsibilities include designing UI/UX systems, developing technical and visual designs, improving real-time mission control features, collaborating with other designers and programmers, and participating in usability testing. The ideal candidate will have experience with UI/UX design for games and real-time editing tools, object-oriented scripting or programming, and a passion for sandbox and real-time strategy games, particularly within the Arma franchise. Job Details

Technical Designer UI/UX – Game Master & Editor

Join us in shaping the next evolution of Arma 4's Editor and Game Master mode! We are looking for a UI/UX Technical Designer to craft engaging, intuitive, and powerful tools that empower players to create and control dynamic battlefield experiences in real time.

Game Master mode builds upon the foundation of Arma 3 Zeus, allowing players to curate events, place assets, and shape missions on the fly. As a UI/UX Technical Designer, you will be responsible for designing, refining, and implementing user interfaces and workflows that enhance the creative control of Game Masters and mission makers.

Help us push the boundaries of real-time battlefield command and mission editing in Arma 4!

Responsibilities

  • Design and iterate on UI/UX systems for the Game Master mode and Editor, ensuring an intuitive and efficient experience
  • Develop, refine, and implement technical, functional, and visual designs to enhance player interaction with game creation tools
  • Work closely with designers, artists, and programmers to prototype and implement responsive UI solutions
  • Improve real-time mission control features, ensuring seamless interactions for Game Masters
  • Contribute to the evolution of Arma’s scenario editing tools, making mission creation more accessible and powerful
  • Collaborate on usability testing and feedback loops to refine UI/UX based on player needs

Requirements

  • Experience, interest, and understanding of UI/UX design for games and real-time editing tools
  • Experience with object-oriented scripting or programming
  • Passion for sandbox and real-time strategy experiences, with an understanding of mission editing and game mastering in Arma and similar titles
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and iterate based on feedback
