G5 Games seeks a 2D UI/UX Artist to contribute to a hidden object game. Responsibilities include designing UI elements and windows, creating window mockups, optimizing graphics for game import, maintaining UI kits and documentation, collaborating with team members and outsourcing partners, and working within a casual graphic style. The ideal candidate possesses basic graphic design knowledge, some iconography experience, UX fundamentals, understanding of color/light rules, perspective, proportions, and strong visual art skills. Photoshop proficiency is a must. Bonus points for extensive icon drawing experience, graphic design education, and neural network experience.

G5 Games is a game developer and publisher headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. We have over 850+ talented professionals worldwide who work remotely or in one of our 10 locations. More than 20 years ago, the company became one of the first mobile game developers in the world. 

You may know us from hit projects like Sherlock, Hidden City®, Mahjong Journey®, The Secret Society®, the Jewels series, and many others. 

We are currently looking for a talented 2D UI/UX Artist (HOG project) to join our ART Team and work on drawing UI elements and windows for one of our projects in the style of casual. Does it look interesting to you? Apply now!

What you will work on:

  • Draw UI elements and windows;
  • Assemble various window mockups;
  • Prepare and optimize graphics for import into the game;
  • Develop and maintain documentation and the UI-kit;
  • Work in a team and collaborate with outsourcers;
  • Work on a project in casual graphics style.

It’s important to us:

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design;
  • Some experience with small iconography;
  • Knowledge of UX basics;
  • Understanding of the color and light rules;
  • Understanding of linear and aerial perspective;
  • Understanding of proportions;
  • General visual art skills: lighting, form, conveying the characteristics of materials, etc.;
  • Professional Photoshop skills.

Would be a great bonus:

  • Extensive experience in drawing various game icons;
  • Education or work experience in the field of graphic design, layout or infographics;
  • Experience in working with neural networks.
