The App Store Optimization (ASO) Manager will create and execute ASO testing strategies to drive growth for original and licensed games. Responsibilities include creating ASO strategies, communicating plans, and partnering with marketing growth pods. The role involves writing creative briefs, developing and tracking tests, analyzing data, and identifying emerging trends. The candidate should have experience in user acquisition and data-oriented marketing, setting up A/B tests, and using business intelligence tools. The candidate should be able to analyze data and make recommendations.

Job Details

Jam City is looking for a data-driven App Store Optimization (ASO) Manager to join the Publishing team and oversee global ASO strategies. Reporting to the Vice President of Publishing, the ASO Manager will be responsible for creating and executing ASO testing strategies to drive growth for our portfolio of original and licensed games. 


The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketer who is comfortable working collaboratively with input from multiple stakeholders. They are familiar with analyzing and reporting performance back to key stakeholders, and using that data to inform future tests.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create industry leading ASO strategies for a portfolio of new and existing titles.
  • Communicate plans, initiatives, and performance across the organization.
  • Partner with marketing growth pods to deconstruct and optimize the user funnel. Aligning ASO needs with all strategic recommendations.
  • Work with Creative and Product Marketing teams to write detailed creative briefs for storefront creatives, including icons, screenshots, and preview videos.
  • Develop, launch, and track tests leveraging analytics tools and testing platforms like Google Experiments, iOS’s Custom Product Pages and Product Page Testing features.
  • Work with the Data Science and User Acquisition teams to measure the impact of interventions on KPIs, including store conversion, installs, and revenue.
  • Build on established strong relationships to drive future growth via new initiatives within the business.
  • Identify and consider opportunities and risks when articulating recommendations
  • Proactively identify emerging trends and consistently share best practices with internal teams.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years of user acquisition and/or data-oriented marketing experience, ideally with mobile games
  • Extensive experience setting up A/B tests across multiple platforms, including Storemaven, Google Experiments, Custom Product Pages, and Product Page Optimization
  • Advanced knowledge of 3rd party business intelligence and keyword research tools like SensorTower, and AppTweak.
  • Ability to write strong creative briefs for internal and external creative teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, derive insights, and make recommendations. Tableau proficiency is a big plus.
  • Excellent communication skills; written (SEO-oriented), verbal, and interpersonal
  • Ability to thrive in a self-directed, fast-paced, results-driven environment and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Team player with great motivation and willingness to learn.
  • Experience working with the Apple App Store and Google Play developer consoles.


In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for this role.  The range listed is just one component of Jam City's total compensation package for employees, which may also include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, certifications, location, business needs, or market demands. This range is based on a full-time position. This range may be modified in the future. In addition, Jam City provides a variety of benefits to employees, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, life, disability, and accident insurance.  Pay Range: $105,000 — $135,000 salary per year.
