The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for selling Nordson adhesive systems, spare parts, and services to existing and new end users, key accounts, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in various industries within Denmark. The role involves acquiring new clients and prospects, utilizing existing networks, and actively selling application systems. The candidate will evaluate existing adhesive solutions and present improvements through Nordson solutions. They will collaborate with the local Nordic and European teams and travel frequently to meet customers. The position requires technical knowledge, sales experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for sales success.
Must have:
  • 2-4 years of successful sales experience in industrial capital goods
  • Technically oriented education or equivalent work experience.
  • Native Danish speaker and fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

Nordson Product Assembly, a global leader in leader in precision dispensing, fluid management, and related technologies, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Area Sales Manager to join our team preferably living in the region Aarhus, Denmark. Your responsibilities will be to sell Nordson adhesive systems, spare parts and services to existing and new end users, key accounts and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in various industries, including wood, labels, cables, and building and construction, as well as other market sectors in Denmark.

Role and Responsibilities 

  • The position holder is responsible for selling Nordson adhesive systems, spare parts and services to existing and new end users, key accounts and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the industrial and production sectors.
  • Acquire new clients and prospects in various industries, including wood, labels, cables and mattresses, as well as other market sectors in Denmark.
  • The position holder will also use existing networks (or create new ones) with market partners, such as adhesive manufacturers, to identify new applications and sales opportunities.
  • Actively sell Nordson application systems either as standalone systems or in collaboration with machine builders as part of a client’s production line. This includes evaluating existing adhesive solutions at clients' facilities and presenting improvements through Nordson solutions.

Skills and Qualifications 

  • A technically oriented education or university degree, or sufficient technical knowledge gained through previous work experience.
  • A minimum of 2–4 years' successful sales experience in industrial capital goods with B2B customers.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build relationships.
  • A strong passion for sales success.
  • In addition to being a native Danish speaker, fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and, ideally, knowledge of CRM systems.
  • The willingness to travel, including regular overnight stays, is required.
