Riot Games seeks an Associate HR Business Partner in Dublin. 2+ years of HR generalist experience is required. Expertise in EU employment law, leaves of absence, investigations, and workers' comp is essential. The role involves HR program support, data analysis, and communication with managers.

Riot’s People Team Overview

At Riot Games, our People team in the EMEA region is dedicated to empowering Rioters to make informed decisions about talent, ensuring every individual can thrive. We provide expertise across all HR domains, including hiring, onboarding, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and off-boarding. Our goal is to create an environment where Rioters can flourish.

As HR Business Partners (HRBPs), we don’t function merely as a compliance unit, nor do we make decisions in isolation. Instead, we prioritize understanding the unique needs of our region, listening attentively to challenges, and collaborating with Rioters to achieve the best outcomes. We see ourselves as trusted advisors and consultants, bringing specialized HR expertise to the table. Working in HR at Riot within the EMEA region offers the opportunity to redefine what effective and positive HR practices look like, allowing us to innovate in areas such as events, onboarding, perks, and communication in a way that resonates deeply with our diverse workforce.

Role of the Associate HR Business Partner:

The Associate HR Business Partner will collaborate closely with Rioters and EMEA HRBPs to deliver tailored guidance and solutions across various People-related activities, requiring in-depth expertise across multiple countries, organizations and specialties. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Rioters experience the best that Riot has to offer, with a focus on their overall experience, timely responses, and sharing of knowledge within the team. The Associate HR Business Partner will balance Rioters' needs with Riot’s philosophy, principles, and resources, ensuring a consistent and supportive HR presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the first contact to respond to manager questions about People programs, policies, and other HR-related topics (benefits, performance management, compensation, learning and development) and have active role in managing our Manager communication channels
  • Assess Rioter inquiries and connect queries to the appropriate expert - immigration, relocation, compensation, legal, benefits, and payroll
  • Complete records audits of all information systems on a dedicated rhythm and ensure all data is correct across business units and products
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR policies by connecting the dots across multiple experiences of Rioters/managers
  • Assist HR Business Partners with planning and roll-out of People programs, such as succession and organization planning, talent assessments, mid-year and year-end cycles and change management
  • Partner with HR Operations in support of the exit process and conduct periodic exit analyses, providing key themes to leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an HR generalist/business partner role with 3+ years of overall HR experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge local and EU employment law, administration of leaves of absences, ER investigations and navigating workers comp claims
  • Participation in full end-to-end HR calendar activities with experience analyzing data to make recommendations as part of these processes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or relevant field; or equivalent work experience

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!

Our Perks:

We offer medical and dental plans that cover you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children. Life insurance, parental leave, plus short-term and long-term disability coverage are also available. Riot will support your retirement benefits with a company match, and double down on your donations of time and money to non-profit charitable organizations. Balance between work and personal life is encouraged with open paid time off, and a play fund so you can broaden and deepen your personal relationship with games.

Let's Thrive Together:

Because together we are better. It's our policy to provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and members of Riot Games.

We know that fresh and varied perspectives will make us better at what we do, so however you identify and whatever background you bring with you, we're excited to hear from you. Don't be discouraged if you feel you don't fully meet every single one of the requirements for a particular role, there's always room for growth at Riot. If you spot a role that will make you want to jump out of bed in the morning, we are waiting to hear from you! Don't forget to include a resume. We receive many applications, but we'll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you Dare to Dream and Execute with Excellence.
