Job Description

As a Backend Engineer at Zynga, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our games. You will work closely with a team of engineers to build scalable and reliable systems that can handle a large volume of users and data. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, including developing new features, improving existing systems, and optimizing performance. We are looking for passionate and talented engineers who are excited to join a team that is pushing the boundaries of social gaming.

Must have:

Strong programming skills in a language such as Java, C++, or Python
Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms

Good to have:

Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
Experience with messaging queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Agile development methodologies
