AlphaSense seeks a Business & Finance Writer/Editor to create, edit, and optimize high-quality content supporting marketing initiatives and research goals. Responsibilities include writing various content formats (blog posts, white papers, reports, etc.), collaborating with subject matter experts, ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines, editing for clarity and accuracy, optimizing content for SEO, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in business/finance writing and editing, exceptional writing skills, a strong understanding of financial markets, and proven ability to work collaboratively. The role involves monitoring content performance and staying updated on industry trends.

About the Team:

The Research and Thought Leadership team within the broader Marketing team at AlphaSense plays a pivotal role in positioning the company as a trusted leader in the financial data and business intelligence space. This team combines industry expertise with cutting-edge business and financial insights to produce high-quality research, market commentary, and thought-leadership content. The team's work not only informs clients and prospects but also shapes broader financial industry conversations, driving deeper engagement within key sectors such as technology, energy, and healthcare, as well as overall macroeconomic trends. Through these efforts, the team helps solidify AlphaSense's reputation as an indispensable resource for business and financial information.

About the Role: 

AlphaSense is seeking a talented and versatile Content Writer/Editor to join our dynamic marketing team. This individual will be responsible for creating, editing, and optimizing high-quality content that supports AlphaSense’s marketing initiatives, thought leadership, and research goals.

The Content Writer/Editor will work closely with the Editorial Director, subject matter experts, and marketing stakeholders to produce content that is insightful, well-researched, and aligns with the company's voice and brand. Content formats will range from blog posts and white papers to data-driven reports, case studies, email newsletters, and more.

This role is ideal for a proactive and adaptable content professional with experience in business, finance, and/or investing who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Content Creation:
    • Write clear, compelling, and informative content for AlphaSense’s target audience, which includes financial services firms, corporate strategy teams, and investor relations professionals, among others.
    • Produce a wide variety of content types, including blog articles, reports, case studies, email newsletters, and more.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance in all content.
    • Ensure all content aligns with AlphaSense’s brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
  • Editing and Proofreading:
    • Edit content for clarity, tone, voice, grammar, and style, ensuring all materials are polished and professional.
    • Proofread for errors in grammar, punctuation, and formatting, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
    • Refine and rework existing content to improve readability, flow, and engagement.
  • Content Optimization:
    • Ensure all content is optimized for SEO, including using relevant keywords, metadata, and linking strategies.
    • Collaborate with the data analytics team to integrate insights and data visualizations into content, enhancing its value and credibility.
    • Work with the design team to ensure content is visually appealing and engaging.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to understand AlphaSense’s products and services and convey their value through effective content.
    • Engage with freelance writers and external contributors to ensure their work aligns with AlphaSense’s quality standards and editorial guidelines.
    • Contribute to the editorial calendar, ensuring content delivery on time and within scope.
  • Content Performance:
    • Monitor the performance of published content and make recommendations for improvement based on data-driven insights.
    • Stay current on industry trends and competitor content to continually improve the quality and relevance of AlphaSense’s materials.

Who You Are:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience writing and editing content in the business, finance, or investing sectors.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing the ability to write clear, engaging, and professional content for a corporate or financial audience.
  • Writing and Editing Excellence:
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail and a strong command of grammar, syntax, and style.
    • Ability to distill complex topics into digestible, engaging content for professional audiences.
    • Experience writing for multiple platforms, including web, email, and social media.
  • Knowledge of Finance and Markets:
    • Solid understanding of financial markets, industries, companies, and investing concepts is essential.
    • Ability to research and interpret financial data, reports, and market trends to create accurate and compelling content.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment with writers, editors, marketers, and designers.
    • Ability to take feedback constructively and make improvements to content based on editorial direction.
  • Technological Proficiency:
    • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), Google Suite, and project management tools (e.g., Asana).
    • Familiarity with SEO principles and content marketing best practices.
    • Basic knowledge of data visualization and how to incorporate charts, graphs, and infographics into written content.
    • Understanding of multimedia content formats such as video, podcasts, and/or webinars.

Base Compensation Range*:  $85,000-$100,000
Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.
*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
