As a Technical Producer III for an unpublished R&D game project at Riot Games, you will lead the end-to-end release cycle, manage game updates and playtests, and champion continuous improvement. You'll collaborate across teams to create release guidelines for global distribution. Responsibilities include overseeing feature delivery for at least one agile development team, fostering communication, removing roadblocks, and ensuring team health and sustainability. You will work closely with product leads on major releases, assess release risks, and own production for a development team, planning, costing, and implementing features and content. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of production experience with technical teams, a proven track record of shipping products, and experience with Agile methodologies. A deep understanding of game development and a commitment to player experience are essential.
Must have:
  • 5+ years production experience with technical teams

As a Producer for our R&D Project, you will lead release for the project. You’ll manage smooth release of game updates and playtests. You’ll champion continuous improvement and collaborate across teams to create release guidelines for the product, with the ultimate goal of making it easy to ship the game globally. 

You will also oversee the delivery of features and improvements on at least one agile development team. You will encourage teams to communicate, guide development, remove roadblocks, and ultimately help drive our games into players’ hands, while making sure that our teams and workflows are healthy and sustainable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the release cycle process end-to-end.
  • Be an SME for Release, providing guidance, support and best practices.
  • Lead projects that improve the development cycle, release process and tools.
  • Work closely with product leads to help manage major releases. Assess the risks of release schedule, milestones, and deployment plans to ensure safe and reliable release.
  • Own production for a development team (Work closely with the team to plan, cost, and implement features and content, ensuring clear goals are outlined for milestones and realized during development) 
  • Assess the team’s maturity, health, and composition and improve any identified areas for improvement

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Production role, working with technical teams (Build/Release etc.) 
  • Experience shipping multiple products with production responsibility on important features and content
  • Knowledge of various work management frameworks (Scrum / Agile) and real-world experience leveraging them in a collaborative team setting
  • Experience with project management software such as Jira and MS Project

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience forming and executing release strategies, especially for games
  • Experience in game development or a good understanding of how artists, engineers, and game designers build assets and game features for a modern game
